Cost Engineer at Lagans Byggnads

Lagans Byggnads is in an expansive phase and is now looking for an analytical and self-driven cost engineer who wants to contribute their expertise to a company with a strong culture and short decision-making paths. Here, you will play a central role in the cost estimation work where your experience helps create competitive bids and strong customer relationships.

About the position

As a cost engineer at Lagan, you will have overall responsibility for developing cost estimates and bids for construction contracts of varying sizes, often between 50 and 350 million SEK. The work is carried out in the Bidcon cost estimation system and encompasses the entire cost estimation process – from analyzing incoming requests for proposals, developing cost estimates and creating bids, to obtaining prices from suppliers and subcontractors. The work is done in close collaboration with project managers, purchasers, and other colleagues in a cohesive team.

The role also involves responsibility for further developing cost estimation routines together with colleagues and contributing to refining existing processes. The aim is to strengthen and ensure the already high quality of internal working methods and customer deliveries.

The position is a key function in the cost estimation operations at Lagan, where you will work in an established team with good opportunities for knowledge exchange with colleagues at the company's other offices.

About you

You likely have a degree as a construction engineer or civil engineer and have deepened your expertise in cost estimation work for several years, preferably in construction projects with a contracting focus. You are accustomed to working with bid calculations in roles where you have had overall responsibility for cost calculations and documentation. Familiarity with systems is a requirement, and experience with Bidcon or similar cost estimation tools is highly meritorious.

You work in a structured and independent manner with great responsibility and combine analytical ability with a strong business sense. You communicate clearly, collaborate naturally with others, and thrive in a flat organization where there is an opportunity to influence.
